This section deals with various server-based approaches to desktop virtualization. Some solutions are bare-metal virtualization, meaning you won't need any OS installed on your hardware. Others, like VMware Server, can only be installed on top of a host OS.
- ThinPoint Desktop Virtualization
- Parallels Server
- Qumranet (now part of RedHat)
- Sun xVM (more information: Sun xVM suite)
- VMware ESX
- VMware ESXi
- VMware Server
